Vioxx is a drug used to ease the inflammation from arthritis. It is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Vioxx
is mainly used to treat rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.
Recently, however, vioxx has come under scrutiny from the FDA, which released a public health advisory. Studies have shown
that vioxx may call increased heart attack and stroke, prompting many lawsuits against Merck. Merck has publicly withdrawn
vioxx because of all of this.
If you have taken vioxx, you may consider other ways to treat the pain and inflammation as vioxx is no longer an approved
method. If you feel that taking vioxx has put your health at risk, it may be best to take to a lawyer.
